Hello Brophy Track Athletes and Coaches
Thank you for your interest in Brophy Track and Field. After a strong showing in 2007, we look forward to an excellent season!
Things to Do NOW
*** Email Coach Kalkman at bkalkman@brophyprep.org from your most used email account.
-Include your name, grade, most reliable phone number contact
-Did you get a physical for this school year and are all the forms signed and turned in to Brophy? If NOT, get that done immediately. You cannot practice or compete without the forms.
-Track events you would like to compete in or try this year (HJ, PV, LJ, TJ, SP, Discus, HH, IH, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 3200m, relays)
-State your individual goals for this track season. (times, new skills, qualifying for a certain meet, etc.)
All 7th hour class students report daily and on time to Coach Kalkman in Loyola meeting area.
All other Sprinters/Jumpers/Throwers/Hurdlers report daily right after school to the weight room.
Distance runners start running with Coach Keahon on Monday 1/14.
Pole Vaulters must work out at PVCC with Kiss the Sky vault coaches.
Winter sport athletes--just keep competing with your team-- join us at the end of your season.
Practice season begins on Monday February 4th:
Your physical and forms must be submitted and current to participate in practice. 7th hour class students will begin workouts at 2:15 and everyone else will begin at 3:10. We practice every school day and some additional days – you must attend all practices and meets and be on time.
